Conserving Nature
The Action Programme Committee on Conserving Nature, led by the National Parks Board (NParks), was formed in Feb 2003 with the objective of formulating action programmes to achieve the SGP2012 targets for Conserving Nature, including community partnership and innovation relevant to nature conservation.
The APC has formulated 12 action programmes under 4 main thrusts, with emphasis on conserving nature areas and their natural biodiversity through forging 3-P (people, private and public sectors) partnerships, increasing public education on conservation issues and encouraging the use of best practices to enhance environmental sustainability.
