Singapore submits second National Communication on Climate Change to the UNFCCC

Singapore has recently submitted its Second National Communication on Climate Change report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat in Nov 2010.

Parties to the Convention are obliged to submit national reports on implementation of the Convention to the Conference of the Parties (COP) in accordance with the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities" enshrined in the Convention. National communications are also designed to provide a consistent, comparable, accurate and complete account of action being taken by Parties to the Convention to address climate change.

Singapore’s latest report, which is an update of the first National Communication submitted in 2000, details its strategies for managing sustainable growth and climate change, and presents an outline of our initiatives at present till 2030.
